Scissor Knife Version 1 & Prototypes
The scissor knife has gone through many revisions over the past year. Although work on the second version is nearly complete, the media below documents the evolution of the product!

The prototyping process leading up to the Version 1 fully functional prototype:
Prototyping started with a plastic 3D printed model (P1) in order to determine the correct form factor of the knife grip and cheaply iterate on the scissor mechanism.
From there, three metal 3D printed models were developed (P2 - P4), each iterating on the scissor mechanism and grip design. Metal 3D printed models allowed for light functional testing of the knife and scissor mechanism.
Ultimately, a stainless steel prototype was manufactured (V1) after a reliable mechanism was developed and the form factor of the knife was further solidified. The Version 1 knife allowed for real world durability testing and long term functional use testing. Ultimately this testing led to design improvements to the Version 2 knife.
